Could an old meme be repeating itself? October 16th three glowing objects were spotted and video taped over Manhattan, NY in the day time. Two days later three similar glowing objects were spotted and recorded in the night sky over El Paso, TX. For a more detailed report of the actual maneuvering and actions of the objects, follow the link below.1 Needless to say, these objects were not readily identifiable and they did not behave like normal commercial aircraft. By strict definition, these were Unidentified Flying Objects.
September 29th, 2010, Universal Pictures released its first full length trailer for its' alien invasion blockbuster Skyline. Since then Universal has released an additional five full length trailers to coincide with the television spots. Skyline opens November 12, 2010, and in the month before the opening and in the midst of the full court press for media promotion, we have now had seemingly coordinated UFO sightings over at least two major cities. Probably a coincidence. It's just not reasonable to think that Universal Studios, and the special effects professionals it has access to, has the resources to pull off a public relations stunt like this, right?
Let's go back in time briefly to April 1, 2010. Sony released its' first full length trailer for Salt, the Angelina Jolie summer blockbuster. In the months preceding the July 23, 2010 release date of the international spy thriller several more trailers were released and Jolie hit the promo circuit. Amazingly, 25 days before the release date of Salt, the Federal Bureau of Investigations announced they had arrested ten Russian Spies. Even more fortunate, one of the Russain spies, Anna Chapman, was hot! We are talking Angelina Jolie hot. Later Ms. Chapman even graced the cover of Maxim Magazine.
It is probably just a coincidence that less than a month before Sony's movie about a sexy female spy was released, the news was dominated by a sexy female spy. Or, we could be looking at the new model for promoting a big budget blockbuster. Six month to a year from opening day, release the teaser. A couple of months before opening day, release a full trailer that gives the audience the gist of the plot. Now the coup de grĂ¢ce: place a similar circumstance in the public conscience through the corporate media.
Seem far fetched. Do you remember Joaquin Phoenix appearing to lose his mind in front of David Letterman and anyone else who would watch just to find out it was a promotion for his movie I'm Still Here. How many people did you know that told you the Blair Witch Project was real. And let us not forget the promo crew for the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie who dominated the headlines for a news cycle by planting bright lights throughout Boston causing a “terror” alert. Even more recently, has anyone heard the mainstream media mention the 2012 prophecy since John Cusack's blockbuster 2012
left theaters?
That was a brief recital of the movie promo stunts that the average movie goer knows about. Whether these UFO sightings are project blue beam or project promotion, coincidence seems to be the least likely explanation.
